Annual & Monthly Parking Permit Programs

The City of Richmond offers a mix of short and long-term parking options including metered parking, and permits for On Street and Off Street parking. All pay parking and monthly parking permit rates are set out in the Consolidated Fees Bylaw No. 8636 . To find out more about our short term pay parking, go to Pay Parking in Richmond.

Steveston Lanes Permit Parking Pilot Program: In response to requests for parking within Steveston’s lanes, the City has reviewed locations where parking can be safely implemented. For more information, visit Steveston Lanes Permit Parking.

On Street & Off Street Parking Permits

You can purchase a permit for as many months as you wish within a calendar year. The following Parking Permit Map shows the on-street and off-street parking areas that are available for monthly permit parking. In stepping away from paper, the City has discontinued the use of physical permits and moved into the era of Licence Plate Recognition. Once registered, your licence plate number will be recognised by the City’s Enforcement Officers as valid for parking at various stalls throughout the City.

Off street parking permits exist for three parking lots in Richmond, including Brighouse Park, Gateway Theatre and the Lawn Bowling Green. For more information on types of pay parking, you can reach us by email at parkingpermit@richmond.ca or call 604-276-4345.

Note: Availability of space is subject to demand and limited.
