About Demographic Data
Many of the Hot Facts sheets draw on the 2016 Census, the 2011 Census and the 2011 National Household Survey (NHS), as those are still the most up-to-date sources of information at the appropriate level of detail. The Hot Facts will be updated with 2021 Census data once information is released and ordered. Statistics Canada released the following estimates (counts) of Richmond's 2021 population and dwellings:
