Major Events Plan

The goals of the City of Richmond 2007 to 2012 Major Events Plan are:

• To showcase Richmond as a fun, vibrant, and event friendly destination.
• To recommend signature events that are best suited for Richmond.
• To position Richmond as a community that celebrates its maritime location and heritage.
• To leverage opportunities arising from the city's 2010 Olympic experience to position Richmond as a premier events destination.
