The Cambie Fitness Centre is a 1,700 square foot air conditioned facility and features 3 treadmills, 3 elliptical trainers, an upright bike, a recumbent bike, 2 stair climbers, an arc trainer, a rowing machine, free weights up to 100 lbs and 11 Apex strength stations. Various core and balance training equipment, including a Reebok core board, kettleballs, a BOSU ball, exercise balls, tubing, foam rollers and medicine balls are also available.

All community centres are open regular weekend hours PLUS select community centres are now open on public holidays! This is a great chance to come in for a workout with friends and family.
Use your Total Fitness Pass at any centre on public holidays for no extra fee.

Cambie Community Centre offers a number of options for accessing fitness programs, including paying a drop-in fee or purchasing a visit card or fitness centre pass, as well as offering programs for registration. See the Fitness Fees section for more information.

Orientations and other services
Fitness Centre Orientation
Book an introduction to the Fitness Centre with a registered Weight Trainer and learn proper techniques for equipment use and Fitness Centre etiquette. Call 604-233-8380 to book an appointment.
Youth Orientation
Youth aged 13-17 years of age must complete a youth orientation, demonstrate appropriate maturity level and have a
parental consent form signed prior to Fitness Centre access. Youth orientations can be booked by calling the centre of your choice, and need only be completed once for eligibility to exercise at all centres.
Fitness Assessment
A registered fitness trainer assesses body composition, cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility.
Personal Training
This specialty training is offered either one-on-one or for groups of two people. All trainers are BCRPA registered with CPR and First Aid training.

Screening Forms
PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire for Everyone)
When you take part in any fitness activity at a City facility you will be asked to either complete a PAR-Q+, read the large poster version of the form, or to confirm you have completed the online version of the questionnaire. This form is designed to identify people for whom a change in physical activity may pose a risk.
