Facility Rentals

Thompson Community Centre – 5151 Granville Avenue 

Thompson Community Centre is pleased to offer several rooms for rentals.  Please refer to the information below and our room rental information package for more information.

A minimum of two weeks notice is required for new bookings. A Room Rental Request Form must be submitted for all rental requests.

Banquet Hall
Our Banquet Hall is available for evening receptions and large parties.  The rental includes the use of the room and kitchen.  Tables and chairs will also be setup in advance for you and taken down after your rental. 

  • maximum capacity: 200
  • available Friday, Saturday or Sunday only
  • $380.00 from 6pm-1am or $80.00 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours
  • $200.00 damage deposit
  • liability insurance is required. Minimum liability must be $2,000,000 and the City of Richmond and the Thompson Community Association must be named as additional insured.
  • If you plan on serving alcohol, your insurance must include host liquor liability insurance and you must purchase a liquor license.

Small Party Room
Our Multi-purpose Room is available for your smaller party needs, such as a bridal shower or family gathering.  The rental includes the use of the room and a small kitchen.  Tables and charis will also be setup in advance for you and taken down after your rental.

  • maximum Capacity:  20
  • $40.00 per hour for a minimum of 2 hours.
  • $200.00 damage deposit
  • liability insurance is required. Minimum liability must be $2,000,000 and the City of Richmond and the Thompson Community Association must be named as additional insured.
  • alcohol is not permitted

Meetings and Workshops

Board Room

  • available for meetings, workshops and training sessions
  • maximum capacity: 30
  • $30.00 per hour plus tax
  • the room will be setup as a boardroom, with one large grouping of tables and 30 chairs surrounding the group of tables. 
Preschool Room & Multi-purpose Room
  • available for meetings, workshops and training sessions
  • maximum capacity: 20
  • $20.00 per hour plus tax
  • the tables and chairs that you require will be left in the room for you, but it is your responsibility to set them up and take them down.
