U-ROC (Richmond Outstanding Community) Youth Awards
What are the U-ROC Awards?
Every year during BC Youth Week (May 1-7) the City of Richmond hosts the U-ROC (Richmond Outstanding Community) Youth Awards to celebrate the achievement and dedication of outstanding Youth and Asset Champions within the Richmond community.
The City asks for professionals and community members working with youth, who know of an Outstanding Youth or Asset Champion to nominate them for an award. Please take the time to consider those who go above and beyond the day to day expectations and activities required of them, and shine in their own special way.
Youth in this category are nominated for being outstanding; displaying exceptional qualities, and making Richmond a better place!
These are adults who have shown dedication and commitment to build Developmental Assets, and who inspire, mentor and make a difference in the lives of youth. These adults play an integral role in finding ways to help youth grow and thrive, and see the strengths in young people and believe in their potential.
The 2017 U-ROC Awards will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Gateway Theatre (6500 Gilbert Road).
