Water Quality TestingDrinking water samples are collected by the City of Richmond's Water Department, and the Environmental Health section of the Health Department a division of Richmond Health Services. See Water Quality in the City Services section for information on the City's water quality programs.
The Health Department is responsible for administration of the Provincial Drinking Water Protection Act. Complaints relative to poor water quality are investigated.
Contact Environmental Health if you detect unfamiliar taste or odors or particles in the water, or if there is a suspected illness attributed to water quality.
Richmond Health Services is a Provincial Goverment Agency under the umbrella of the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.
