About the Cultural Centre
The Richmond Cultural Centre (RCC) is located in Minoru Park near the corner of Granville Ave and Minoru Blvd. This is where to find the Richmond Public Library Brighouse Branch, the city’s largest, with books, e-books and audiobooks in several languages; thousands of movies and TV shows; computers; The Launchpad featuring digitization and creation stations; quiet study areas and much more.
The RCC is also home to many of Richmond’s essential cultural amenities:
- Richmond Art Gallery featuring contemporary art exhibitions, programs and more with Canadian, Indigenous and international artists;
- City of Richmond Archives with thousands of textual records, photographs, maps and plans, sound and moving image recordings, as well as a small reference library;
- Richmond Museum collects artefacts and presents exhibitions, educational programs and more to tell the fascinating stories of Richmond;
- Richmond Arts Centre/Media Lab hub of creative arts and exploration.
- Upper Rotunda Gallery with monthly exhibitions by local artists, students and community groups.
