RICHMOND CREATES! Outdoor Art Show and Open Studio returns to Doors Open Richmond at Steveston Museum. Come join local artists in Steveston Town Square Park next to the museum as they display and create their art on-site. Artists will be showing their work and finishing their latest pieces. Engage with the artists and discuss their creations and creative process. Mediums include painting, drawing, photography, and more! Live music throughout the event.
Presented by the Lighthouse Collective - www.lighthousecollective.ca - in collaboration with the Steveston Museum and the Steveston Historical Society.
Doors Open continues inside the museum where history comes to life with costumed interpreters animating Steveston Village’s stories. Be the first to experience the Living History of Steveston Heritage Sites. More information coming soon.

The drama student actors are returning again this summer for the third time to present five plays recreating Steveston's past in the year 1917.

Go back in time on an interactive walking tour, stopping at four celebrated historic attractions Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site, the Steveston Tram, Steveston Museum, and the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site. You’ll hear eye-opening tales of yesteryear village life, as told by a chatty fisherman who seems to have just stepped from the streets of 1914. Carefully chosen food and beverage tastings will be served at each location. Bus transportation is provided between Britannia Shipyards and Steveston Village and then back to Britannia Shipyards.19+ Only.

Customized Guided Walking Tours
Steveston Museum offers guided historical walking tours of Steveston Village to groups. These walks are based on the existing Steveston Stories and Murder, Mayhem and Morality walking tours, and can be tailored to meet your group’s interest.
Bookings are taken throughout the year. The walks last around 60 minutes and cost $5 per person with a 12 person minimum. They can be booked by calling the Museum Coordinator at 604-718-8439 or filling out our online booking form.
