Voter Information Card

Voter Information Card

If you are registered to vote as per the Provincial Voters List, you may expect to receive a voter card in the mail in late September.

A voter card includes information such as a voter's designated voting place and advance voting opportunities. The voter card package will include the number of voter cards included in the package per address. This does not necessarily reflect the number of eligible voters in the household.

If you received a voter card, please double check that the name and address are current. If they are current and accurate, you may bring your voter card along with two pieces of ID to an advance voting opportunity, or to your designated voting place on General Voting Day (Saturday, October 15, 2022) as stated on the front side of the card.

If your information is incorrect, you may update your and/or residential address at your voting place. Please double check where your designated voting place is on General Voting Day (Saturday, October 15, 2022). General Voting Day voting places will be published online soon.

Bringing your voter card will allow you to have an easier and faster voting experience.

However, you don't need a voter card to vote.

If you didn't receive a voter card, please check if you are on the Voters List. If you are on the Voters List, it is possible that your voter card will arrive at a later time.

If you don't receive a voter card, you may still vote at an advance voting opportunity or at your designated voting place on General Voting Day (Saturday, October 15, 2022). Please come to your voting place prepared. Bring two pieces of ID; one piece must include your signature.

If you are not on the Voters List, you may register to vote at an advance voting opportunity, or at your designated voting place on General Voting Day (Saturday, October 15, 2022).

Received someone else's voter card?
If you received someone else's voter card who does not live in your household, you may bring this voter card with you when you vote and provide it to the election official. You may also send this back to Richmond City Hall. Please check where your designated voting place is on General Voting Day (Saturday, October 15, 2022) or vote at an advance voting opportunity.
