Fitness Centre
The Cambie Fitness Centre is a 1,700 square foot air conditioned facility with lots of natural light and plenty of open space so you can to do your work out and floor exercises in comfort. We have recently purchased some new fitness equipment including an Adaptive Motion Trainer (AMT) that allows for a movements including stepping, elliptical and running for a well- balanced workout that you control. We also have new top of the line Urethane dumbbells and weight plates for a quieter weight room experience and a four-station cable unit that offers a variety of strength training options in one unit. All this is in addition to our strength machines, two areas of free weights, our cardio machines that include three treadmills, two ellipticals, two Recumbent bikes, one speed bike, a Stairmaster, a rower and an area for core and balance training.

Cambie Volleyball League
The Cambie Volleyball League is run by the East Richmond Community Association (ERCA), in partnership with the City of Richmond and Cambie Sports. The Cambie Volleyball League operates out of the Cambie Community Centre, which manages the league registration, Cambie facilities usage and staffing.
Cambie Basketball League
Play in this Thursday night recreational league open to teams of all skill and fitness abilities. The two divisions are: Open (18+yrs) and Masters (35+yrs). Call 604-238-8399 for more details, or visit www.cambiebasketball.com.

Public Holiday Hours
There’s no excuse to miss your workout!
All community centres are open regular weekend hours plus select community centres are now open on public holidays! This is a great chance to come in for a workout with friends and family. Use your Total Fitness Pass at select centres on public holidays for no extra fee.
Fitness Fees
Cambie Community Centre offers a number of options for accessing fitness programs, including paying a drop-in fee or purchasing a visit card or fitness centre pass, as well as offering programs for registration. See the Fitness Fees section for more information.

Orientations and other services
Fitness Centre Orientation
Book an introduction to the Fitness Centre with a registered Weight Trainer and learn proper techniques for equipment use and Fitness Centre etiquette. Call 604-238-8380 to book an appointment.
Youth in the Fitness Centre
Youth 13-17 year olds are encouraged and welcome to use City of Richmond recreation fitness facilities with the following requirements:
• submission of a completed and signed Parental Consent Form and
PAR-Q Form 2018.
• completion of a Youth Orientation session*
*Those 13 to 15 years are required to take this session regardless of previous weight training experience. A session is not required for those 16 to 17 year with previous weight training experience if noted on the signed Parental Consent Form. However, a meeting with a Fitness Attendant to read and sign a Fitness Centre Etiquette Form is mandatory. Sessions are free with admission and can be booked at any fitness facility.
Note: Parental Consent Forms and Youth Orientations only need to be completed once and are transferrable to all City of Richmond recreation fitness centres.
Personal Training
This specialty training is offered either one-on-one or for groups of two people. All trainers are BCRPA registered with CPR and First Aid training.

Screening Forms
PAR-Q (The Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire for Everyone)
When you take part in any fitness activity at a City facility you will be asked to either complete a PAR-Q+, read the large poster version of the form, or to confirm you have completed the online version of the questionnaire, or complete and print the form here PAR-Q Form 2018. This form is designed to identify people for whom a change in physical activity may pose a risk.
