Sewage Disposal Systems

In accordance with Provincial regulations, all on-site sewage disposal systems require Health Department approval. In unsewered areas Building Permits will not be issued until a Sewage Disposal System Permit has been issued. Complaints that systems are malfunctioning are investigated and corrective action as required is carried out.

The Health Department is a section of Richmond Health Services, a Provincial Government Agency under the umbrella of the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.
