Water Quality Testing

Drinking water samples are collected by the City of Richmond's Water Department. See Water Quality in the City Services section for  information on the City's water quality programs.

The Health Department is responsible for administration of the Provincial Drinking Water Protection Act. Complaints relative to poor water quality are investigated.

Contact Environmental Health if you detect unfamiliar taste or odours or particles in the water, or if there is a suspected illness attributed to water quality.

Richmond Health Services is a Provincial Government Agency under the umbrella of the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.
