The multipurpose RichmondBC App 2.0 offers even more mobile access to customers along with all of the City’s parks, recreational, cultural and heritage facilities information found in the first version. This upgrade allows users to create a personalized login for a custom view of registered programs; easily locate garbage and recycling schedules. The app is now available for free for both Apple and Android devices.

The app also has direct access to an interactive map with a complete list of all City parks, recreation, heritage and cultural facilities as well as the Richmond Olympic Oval. Users will be able to search the address, history, hours of operation and GPS coordinates of each location and access directions to get there. The app also offers a calendar view of all events, programs and services.

Apple device users can also take self-guided tours of Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site. By simply walking around the Shipyards and locating nearby stations, users can have information “pushed” out to them to read and watch on their phones.

Richmond Works allows users to report non-emergency issues such as a pothole, broken streetlight, damaged street signs or graffiti while on the go in Richmond. Your service requests are automatically sent to the City’s Public Works Service Centre and directed to appropriate City departments for resolution. You will be able to check the status of your service request until the issue is resolved. This app uses global positioning system (GPS) to identify your location while allowing you to take a photo of the issue.

Richmond Recycling

Google play  Apple app store

The Richmond Recycling app allows residents to sign-up for recycling and garbage day pick-up reminders. Residents can select how they want to receive these messages, which are available by email, text message, Twitter or a phone call. This simple and easy-to-use app also includes a Recycling Wizard that allows residents to find out where to recycle a wide variety of household items.

Please note, the collection day reminder component of this app does not apply to townhomes and multi-family dwellings with private garbage pickup or Blue Carts. Please contact your property management company for your pickup schedule.
