General Information Regarding Inspections
Each inspection is scheduled for the next business day if scheduled prior to 8:00pm. The cut-off time to cancel an inspection is 7:00am. Every effort will be made to do inspections for the day scheduled. But, because of differences in the time spent at each site, it is not possible to guarantee requests for a.m. or p.m. In periods of high volumes of inspection requests, additional delays may be encountered.
COVID-19 Update: Permit holders and/or owners must refer to On-Site Inspections during COVID-19 for safety requirements for Occupied Buildings. In addition, we ask contractors to wear their masks in all indoor City-operated facilities until advised otherwise.
Front counter services are currently not available to the public. The Inspectors are available between 8:15 - 9:00 am or between 4:15 - 5:00 pm by phone or by email. Refer to your permit for the Inspectors name, phone number and email. For detailed information, visit our Bulletin Info-09.

Inspections for Building, Gas, Plumbing, or Site Service can be requested through the online Inspections portal.
Online Inspections Scheduling & Application Status
This system will allow you to schedule, cancel and view inspection results on an issued permit. You will need your permit number and access code located at the top right of your permit document. Plus, check your plan review status on a building permit application by entering the 8 digit folder number from your invoice.
