Emergency Services
Richmond is a safe community, and ensuring that it remains safe is a top priority for Council. The City’s primary public safety providers are Police, Fire-Rescue, Emergency Programs, Community Bylaws and Animal Protection Services.
Community Safety services are delivered using a partnership and team-based-model. This integrated team approach to service delivery improves direct communication between agencies and maximizes opportunities to work closely together through joint programs and services. These providers also work in partnership with other City departments and local and provincial agencies to identify and provide emergency services in Richmond.
We invite you to browse the pages of this section of the website to learn more about the services the City provides and to find out how you can make an active contribution to your personal safety and the safety of your family, friends and neighbours.
