Transition from Red Cross Swim Kids to Lifesaving Society's Swim for Life Program
On January 1, 2023, the City of Richmond transitioned from the Canadian Red Cross Swim Kids program to the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life program for lessons. The Swim Lesson Transition Chart outlines which level of the Swim for Life program swimmers will move into based on their current or previous Swim Kids Level.

Important Notice to Swim Parents and Adult Swimmers
Children and adults must have the required pre-requisite in order to successfully register into swim levels. Children and adults can only be registered in a class with a start date that is AFTER the last day of the class they are already registered in. Registrations that contravene this requirement will be cancelled.

Registered Visits
Registrations for the following week's Registered Visits start online and through the Registration Call Centre at noon on the Monday one week prior. For example, Registered Visits occurring during the week of Mon, Jun 19 to Sun, Jun 25 are available for registration as of noon on Mon, Jun 12.
Choose the Browse & Register button above and search Registered Visits by facility.
How to Cancel your Registered Visit
Can’t attend your pre-booked registered visit, court booking or fitness class? No problem.
Health & Safety Guidelines
All facilities and programs will meet strict health and safety guidelines as set out by local and provincial health authorities, and activities may be increased or decreased based on demand and public safety.
Note: While masks are no longer required, the wearing of masks is encouraged and appreciated in community and aquatic centres, arenas and ice centres, libraries, cultural and heritage locations, Fire-Rescue facilities and City Hall, as well as the Richmond Olympic Oval.
