Rompers Preschool
Romper Preschool
These preschool programs are designed to develop the whole child intellectually, socially, physically, emotionally and cognitively. We provide a positive and encouraging learning environment where children of various cultures and backgrounds share and learn about each other.
At Thompson Early Learning we believe each child is a unique individual who learns at their own pace through play, active exploration, hands-on experience and social interaction. It is our goal to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment which promotes exploration and the healthy development of the whole child in all areas, including social/emotional, cognitive, communication/language and physical development. A daily routine is followed as a guideline to allow the child to develop a sense of safety and trust, and to be clear on what is expected if the child. Activities in the routine may include: open ended art, group time, science experiments, music and movement, snack time and daily outdoor play.
School Year Term
The school year for both Rompers Preschool and Time for Twos is from September 2022 to June 2023, with the exception of statutory holidays, winter and spring break vacation and two professional development days.
Age Requirements
Children must turn the required age by December 31, 2022.

Rompers Preschool
We believe each child is a unique, capable individual who learns at their own pace through active exploration and interest-driven activities. Our program is play-based, child-centered and emergent influenced. The Early Childhood Educators are responsive to children’s interests and co-create curriculum with the children. They explore topics of interest with the children in groups in order to foster an inviting, engaging, and collaborative social setting, and to create meaningful developmentally appropriate learning experiences. The depth and length of learning are determined by the children’s sustained interests. Focus is placed on the process of experiences as well as fostering healthy social-emotional development, rather than an academic curriculum. Some daily components of the program include: large emphasis on outdoor play, open ended art, group time, music and movement, sensory activities as well as STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
