Hamilton Highway Park is a 7.18 acre green space located in the Hamilton area. Predominantly a large open field, it serves as an informal dogs off-leash area, complete with a water fountain and picnic tables.

Construction Update - Spring 2025

While the park remains open to the public, due to the recent work in the area, a temporary dog off-leash area was been created in McLean Park to provide an alternative for Hamilton residents. Planning for a permanent dog off-leash facility in McLean Park, including community engagement, will commence later this year.

REMINDER!

Pet owners in dogs off-leash areas adhere to the following usage guidelines:

  • Dogs must be kept under control by their owners at all times.
  • Stoop and Scoop: clean up after your dog.
  • Dog owners must carry a leash at all times.
  • All dogs must be currently and visibly licensed.
  • Dog owners must maintain effective verbal control of their dogs and always be able to see their dog when off the leash.
