South Arm Park is a large 57.3 acre community park located adjacent to South Arm Community Centre and Hugh McRoberts Secondary and James Whiteside Elementary Schools.
This athletics oriented park hosts 10 sports fields, 9 baseball diamonds, 4 basketball courts, 8 tennis courts, 3 pickle ball courts and a large playground. To support the sports activities at the park, there are 9 portable wooden bleachers located near the ball diamonds. There is also a fenced in off-leash dog park.
In addition to field and ball sports, there is a seasonally operated, heated outdoor pool with water slides. Visit the Outdoor Pools page for more information about swimming lessons and pool programs.
The park also has large open lawn areas for passive recreation and a network of pathways throughout the park link key areas within the park as well as to the surrounding neighbourhood.
North of the outdoor pool, there is a large playground with picnic tables and a designated BBQ area for the park. Please see the following PDF map for more information.
Pickleball Courts
There are 3 pickleball courts located adjacent to the tennis courts. Additional play is also available inside the multi-sport box. For directions to access equipment, contact South Arm Community Centre for more details at 604-238-8060. On site signage: Pickleball Court Usage.
Based on feedback received from public consultation, updated Pickleball Guidelines have been developed to enhance players’ experience and maximize court usage. The guidelines have been designed to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, encourage fair play and ensure efficient court rotation. Pet owners in dogs off-leash areas adhere to the following usage guidelines:
Dogs must be kept under control by their owners at all times. - Stoop and Scoop: clean up after your dog.
Dog owners must carry a leash at all times.
All dogs must be currently and visibly licensed.
Dog owners must maintain effective verbal control of their dogs and always be able to see their dog when off the leash.
Any dog exhibiting aggressive behaviour must be leashed immediately.
