Description of Work

This is a painted exterior mural on an outer wall leading to Westwind Elementary School’s main entrance. Many children of various sizes are shown playing, learning, and engaging with each other.

Artist Statement

Through a series of engaging workshops with students, the artists found that Westwind Elementary School was a safe space for all to feel welcomed for who they are. The mural is about friendships, the relationship between play and learning, as well as showing care to nature and the environment.
