Richmond House Emergency Shelter

The Richmond House Emergency Shelter, located at 12040 Horseshoe Way, provides temporary accommodation, meals and practical supports for people experiencing homelessness. Couples are welcome. The shelter is operated by The Salvation Army, Richmond and is the result of a partnership between the City of Richmond, The Salvation Army and BC Housing. Call 604-276-2490 for more information.

Temporary Shelters for Winter 2024/25 

There are two Temporary Winter Shelters in Richmond to support individuals experiencing homelessness over the 2024/2025 winter season. These shelters are both operated by The Progressive Housing Society and provide a safe, warm space for rest, snacks, and referrals to additional services. These are currently operational and will stay open every night until mid-April 2025. 

Temporary Winter Shelter at South Arm Outdoor Pool Building

  • Capacity: 20 individuals
