Extreme Weather Response for Winter 2023/2024

For the 2023/2024 winter season, the City is partnering with local service providers to provide two Warming Centres. These spaces provide a place for individuals experiencing homelessness to rest, have warm drinks or snacks, and access referrals to other services.

The Brighouse Warming Centre is available from 8:00pm to 8:00am daily. The South Arm Warming Centre is available from 7:00pm to 7:00am daily. Both locations will reman open until April 15, 2024 and provide safe indoor spaces away from the elements when the health of people experiencing homelessness could be threatened.
