Branscombe House Artist Residency RFP
2027 Request for Proposal
The City of Richmond’s Arts, Culture and Heritage Services invites professional artists in all disciplines (including writers, composers, visual artists, musicians, theatre artists, video, multi-disciplinary and performance artists) to submit proposals for an 11-month live-in residency to begin in January 2027 and run until mid-December 2027.
Branscombe House is a restored Edwardian-style heritage home located in the residential area of Steveston. The self-contained two-bedroom suite upstairs is offered as an artist residence/studio with rent 100% subsidized in exchange for a minimum of 22 hours/month (240 hours total) of artist-led community-engaged programming.

This residency takes place in a heritage building and, as such, the artist's suite on the second floor is not wheelchair accessible.
