Cast bronze using the lost wax method of casting which captures the intricate details of form and surface.

Artist Statement

2 Half Apples is based on the celebrated artist’s 1973 work entitled 12 Apples—a series of twelve life-size ceramic half apples situated “in conversation” with each other. For this public art project, two of Falk’s half apples are scaled up to approximately five feet in diameter. Pedestrian walkways almost encircle the work, making it accessible and easy to view from all angles.
