Description of Work

Three vases made of concrete. Each vase weighs approximately one ton and was painted in colors inspired by the multicultural environment in the Lower Mainland.

Artist Statement

The vases created for the Miora development are a reflection of the multicultural society I experienced during my residency in Vancouver. Each vase is painted in many layers of colours and translucents. Touches of iridescent colours are incorporated all over the surface, which only reflect under light. The vases are solid and strong, meant for public interaction, even if just to provide a moment of respite and reflection.
