Cinevolution is bringing National Canadian Film Day back to Richmond!

A free full day of screenings, this year's program -- Who Roams the Earth -- is both a foray into filmmaking in Canada, and a cinematic journey into living worlds beyond the human universe, from alpine pastures to desert skies to otherworldly perspectives.

Beginning with two extraordinary award-winning features, Sophie Deraspe's naturalistic adaptation Bergers (2024) and Alison McAlpine's meditative love letter to the night sky, Cielo (2019), the day will culminate in a Centrepiece Program curated by writer and scholar Yani Kong. "In Another Place, Not Here" features the BC premiere of Carol Nguyen's Nanitic, short films from Kent Monkman and Brendan Fernandez, gems from Small File Media Festival alumni Joeseph Clark and Martha Dzhenganin, along with other beautiful works that explore non-human centred scales from a grain of sand to the inner world of a child.

We invite you to come and be immersed in the unseen lives and landscapes that shape our shared planet.
