This year’s theme “Leisure for a Better Society” highlights the vital role of leisure in fostering healthy, sustainable and connected communities, Discover, learn and experience the transformative power of leisure in shaping a more inclusive, equitable and harmonious world for all.
World Leisure Day is a global initiative of the World Leisure Organization (WLO), which aims to reinforce leisure as a social right and its importance in daily life, as well as to expand and promote leisure globally while recognizing that barriers still exist for many worldwide. FREE! National Canadian Film Day: Who Roams the Earth
Join us for National Canadian Film Day, a one-day coast-to-coast-to-coast celebration of cinema presented by Reel Canada. This year's free film screenings include Bergers (Shepherds) (2024) and Cielo (2018), followed by a short film program, "another place, not here", curated and introduced by Yani Kong, Managing Director of Small File Media Society and Small File Media Festival. Hosted by Cinevolution Media Arts Society and the City of Richmond. Registration required.
