Annual Tree Sale (2026)
The City of Richmond’s Annual Tree Sale is back!
Bring home a high-quality fruit or flowering tree for just $15 per tree. A total of 750 trees are available for Richmond residents at a subsidized rate, with a limit of three trees per household.
Add beauty and greenery to your yard while supporting Richmond’s environmental sustainability goals and contributing to a greener urban landscape.
Trees must be picked up on Saturday, October 3, 2026, between 10:00am and 3:00pm at the Richmond Public Works Yard, 5599 Lynas Lane.
- No delivery is available.
- No specific pickup timeslot is required this year. Once an order is placed, trees will be reserved and available for pickup anytime between 10:00am and 3:00pm.
- There is no need to arrive first thing in the morning. The busiest period is expected to be earlier in the day, so consider coming later to help avoid longer wait times.
What to Bring
Please have the following ready when you arrive:
- Order confirmation, printed or on a mobile device
- Government-issued photo ID confirming identity and Richmond residency
- If your photo ID does not show a Richmond address, bring a recent bill or other document confirming Richmond residency, such as a utility bill
Trees will only be released to customers who provide their order confirmation and verify that they meet the Richmond residency requirement.
Before You Arrive
- Limit of three trees per household
- Bring a vehicle suitable for transporting the trees
- Bring a tarp, blanket or other material to protect your vehicle and secure the trees during transport
- Staff will be onsite to assist with pickup and loading
- All sales are final. No warranty, returns or refunds

Q: If I can’t come during my registered time, can someone pick up my tree?
A: Yes, as long as they provide a copy of your order confirmation or receipt (digital or printed copy), as well as a piece of identification with your name and address.
Q: Can each family member in my household purchase up to three trees?
A: No, trees are limited to three trees per household.
Q: Can I hold a tree for pick-up at a later date?
A: No, trees are only available for pick-up during the pick-up date, time and location.
Q: I would like to purchase a tree, but I don’t have the ability to access the online store. Is there another way I can purchase a tree?
