Annual Tree Sale (2026)

The City of Richmond’s Annual Tree Sale is back!
A total of 750 high-quality fruit and flowering trees are on sale now for Richmond residents to purchase at a subsidized rate of $15 per tree. Limit of 3 trees per household.
The initiative supports Richmond’s ongoing environmental sustainability goals and helps beautify communities across the city. Add greenery to your space while making a lasting impact on Richmond’s urban landscape.
10:00am and 3:00pm on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from the pickup location.
New this year: No need to register for a specific pickup timeslot. Once you have placed your order, you can come to the tree pickup location anytime between 10:00am and 3:00pm on the pickup day.
Your trees will be reserved for you and will be waiting at the pickup site. There is no need to rush to arrive first thing in the morning.
We expect the busiest period to be in the morning. If your schedule allows, we encourage you to come later in the day to help avoid longer wait times.
Pick up: Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 10:00am and 3:00pm at the Richmond Public Works Yard (5599 Lynas Lane, Richmond).
What to bring
Please have the following ready when you arrive:- Your order confirmation (printed or on your mobile device)
- Government-issued photo ID to confirm your identity and Richmond residency
- If you do not have government-issued ID showing your Richmond address, bring a recent bill or other document that confirms your Richmond residency, such as a utility bill or similar proof of address.
Trees will only be released to customers who can provide their order confirmation and verify that they meet the Richmond residency requirement.
A few things to know
- Each household is limited to three trees per household.
- Bring a vehicle suitable for transporting your trees.
- It's recommended to bring a tarp, blanket or other material to protect your vehicle and secure your trees for transport.
- Staff will be onsite to assist with the pickup process and loading your trees.
- Sales are final. No warranty, returns or refunds.

Q: If I can’t come during my registered time, can someone pick up my tree?
A: Yes, as long as they provide a copy of your order confirmation or receipt (digital or printed copy), as well as a piece of identification with your name and address.
Q: Can each family member in my household purchase up to three trees?
A: No, trees are limited to three trees per household.
Q: Can I hold a tree for pick-up at a later date?
A: No, trees are only available for pick-up during the pick-up date, time and location.
Q: I would like to purchase a tree, but I don’t have the ability to access the online store. Is there another way I can purchase a tree?
