Note: Availability of time slots is based on a first come, first served basis. If you're interested in purchasing two trees of the same species, register for two separate time slots. You can then pick up both trees during either of the chosen time slots, as a convenience.

Picking Up Your Tree

Trees will be available for pick up at the City of Richmond Works Yard (5599 Lynas Lane) on Saturday, September 23. In order to receive a tree, you must provide a copy of your registration confirmation or receipt (digital or printed copy) as well as a piece of identification with the same name you registered under and your Richmond address.

It's important that your vehicle is prepared to transport the tree. Trees range in size from 3 to 6 feet tall and are in 5-gallon pots, which can be accommodated in most regular vehicles. In order to prevent soil from spilling in your vehicle, it is recommended that you bring a towel or tarp to contain the tree.

City staff will be on-site distributing the trees and will provide a tree-planting brochure specifically for the species purchased, advice about planting your tree, where to find additional supplies at local garden centres and respond to any tree-planting related questions. The event will proceed rain or shine.

NOTE: You will only be able to pick-up your tree on Saturday, September 23 during your registered time. Residents who do not come during their registration time will not receive a tree.
