Susan Pearson
Vancouver, Canada
Biography
Susan Pearson has worked as a postie, a camp cook, a waitress, a commerical fisher (salmon) and a florist. Throughout all these occupations, she has always retained a clear focus on developing her artistic talents. Susan has studied fine art, graphic art and animation at Vancouver Universities.
Since 1988, she has concentrated on her watercolours, exhibiting them at many Vancouver galleries and restaurants. She is a lover of the sea, citing 11 seasons spent commerical fishing (sketchbook and camera always with her). She has illustrated for children's books (recently "Anna May's Cloak" published by Simply Read Books), magazines, t-shirts and posters for various causes. Susan has also created and sold many of her fine art watercolour paintings. She has taught watercolour techniques since 1994.
Susan continues to freelance as an illustrator and teach watercolour at VanDusen Gardnes. Her classes are in high demand and are regularly sold out.
