Biography

I am a painter and multi-media artist from Mexico City who has achieved recognition as a
mural artist. I have been in Canada since 1998. I see value in cultural cast-offs and love to
transform discarded items into urban ornaments as a form of public expression in public
places. I am curious about how recycled and up-cycled materials used throughout our culture
can be transformed into ‘trash art’ treasures: original art works of infinite possibility. Through
mixed mediums and painted objects, I have inferred various messages that challenge our
cultural notions of purpose, disposability, values, beauty and time.
