The City of Richmond and community organizations offer a variety of subsidies to improve access to recreation, sport and social programs. See below for more information.

Recreation Fee Subsidy Program - City of Richmond

The City of Richmond provides Richmond residents of all ages who are experiencing financial hardship with subsidized access to a wide range of cultural, parks and recreation programs and activities. Visit Recreation Fee Subsidy Program for more information.

Active Recreation & Sports Fund

The Richmond Sports Council and City of Richmond’s Active Recreation & Sport Fund provides funding for children and youth (18 years and under) to participate in active recreation programs and sports where financial barriers impact inclusion. Participants must be residents of Richmond. Review the Active Recreation & Sports Fund Guidelines for more information.

KidSport Richmond

KidSport Richmond offers Richmond children and youth (18 years and under) financial grants to help cover the cost of registration fees for organized sports affiliated with Sport BC. Email KidSportRichmond@gmail.com or visit KidSport for more information. 

Canadian Tire Jumpstart
