The ParticipACTION Community Challenge is an annual national initiative designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities to be more active. Throughout the month of June, communities across Canada will compete to earn the title of “Canada’s Most Active Community.”
After winning British Columbia’s Most Active Community in 2022 and 2024, the City of Richmond is gearing up for yet another strong showing in 2025. Together, let’s explore how we can all be a part of this journey towards a healthier, more active Richmond.

Throughout June, the City of Richmond will be hosting a variety of free and low-cost events, in addition to the regular program line-up, to inspire individuals to get active. Whether you’re an experienced athlete or just starting your fitness journey, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. When you participate in an activity offered at any of Richmond’s facilities, you not only boost your own health and well-being, but you also contribute to Richmond’s quest to claim the title of Canada’s Most Active Community.

In the month of June, join us in participating in the Community Challenge by ParticipACTION! Complete a Bingo Card to be entered into a draw to win a Getting Active Gift Basket! There are three Bingo Cards available; youth, families and seniors, and one gift basket per category. Bingo Cards are available in person at Steveston Community Centre or can be found online on our Facebook page at Steveston Community Centre. To be entered into the draw, send in a picture of your Bingo Card with a minimum of one line completed, along with two photos or screen shots showing your participation in two of the activities in the Bingo line you completed.
