Community Challenge 2024 - Join the Movement to Move More

The ParticipACTION Community Challenge is an annual national initiative designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities to be more active. Throughout the month of June, communities across Canada will compete to earn the title of “Canada’s Most Active Community.” 

After winning British Columbia’s Most Active Community in 2022, and placing among the top 50 finalists in 2023, the City of Richmond is gearing up for yet another strong showing in 2024. Together, let’s explore how we can all be a part of this journey towards a healthier, more active Richmond.

Throughout June, the City of Richmond will be hosting a variety of free and low-cost events, in addition to the regular program line-up, to inspire individuals to get active. Whether you’re an experienced athlete or just starting your fitness journey, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. When you participate in an activity offered at any of Richmond’s facilities, you not only boost your own health and well-being, but you also contribute to Richmond’s quest to claim the title of Canada’s Most Active Community.

Outdoor Dance Party - Start with a warm-up lap around Clement Track at Minoru with the Mayor. Then move and groove with instructors Stephany, Danny and Alice on the plaza. Be among the first 100 to arrive and get a prize. (1 prize per person).
