How can you celebrate?

Throughout June, there are countless opportunities to move, play and explore Richmond's parks and recreation facilities. Whether you’re adventuring with family, friends, or going solo, there’s something new to discover this month. Don’t forget to take the ParticipACTION Community Challenge pledge and keep active all month long to help Richmond to be named Canada’s Most Active Community in 2025.

Outdoor Fitness
Walk Richmond
Free, guided walks for all ages. Explore local parks and trails. No registration needed.
Splash and Play
Outdoor Pools
Richmond’s outdoor pools offer heated swimming, fun slides and shallow tot and wading pools. Steveston is open now, South Arm opens June 14. Fees apply.
Waterparks
Spray parks are a great way to stay cool all summer long.
Playgrounds
Offering nature-inspired play spaces, Richmond’s parks encourage active, imaginative and inclusive outdoor fun.
Art and Exploration
Public Art Scavenger Hunt
A family-friendly self-guided activity, takes participants from Richmond City Hall to Minoru Park in search of 10 public artworks. Solve clues and learn about the City’s public art along the way.
Island City by Bike
Take a guided cycling tour of some of the City’s new and existing bike routes.
Counting on Nature - 55+
Search for shapes and patterns in nature to create a leaf collage. Includes round-trip transport from Minoru Centre to Richmond Nature Park and supplies. Registration required. For more information on dates and cost, visit richmond.ca/register and use Course ID 00404811 or 00406664.
Complete a GeoTour
In search of a series of hidden geocaches in parks, on trails and at community facilities, participants can discover Richmond’s unique heritage.
Adventure Lab
Using the Adventure Lab app, players can create, play and share unique outdoor scavenger hunts, experiences and games.

Pitch and Putt
A great way to spend time with friends and improve your short game. Fees apply.
Outdoor Pickleball
The ultimate mix of tennis and table tennis. Fun for all ages.
Basketball
Outdoor basketball courts are the perfect place for fun, fitness and friendly competition.
Playbox
Full of toys, games and sport equipment, Thompson Community Centre’s playbox makes active play easy.
Beach Volleyball
Richmond Olympic Oval’s beach volleyball courts offer a sunny and sandy spot to get active with friends.
