Monday, June 2

Opening Event - Thompson Community Centre

Join this signature event that celebrates seniors and healthy aging. Enjoy live entertainment, light refreshments and community connection in a setting that is an inspiration to staying active and engaged. Registration required.

Bus Transportation

Parking at the venue is limited, so relax on this round trip shuttle to and from the Opening Event at Thompson Community Centre. Pick-up/drop-off available to/from Minoru Centre for Active Living, Cambie, City Centre, Hamilton, Sea Island, South Arm, Steveston and West Richmond Community Centres. Pre‑registration required. Call the individual facility to register.

Pick-up: 11:00am – 12:00pm – Transportation to and from the opening event at Thompson Community Centre will be available.

Return Shuttle: 2:15 – 3:45pm – Return shuttles to operate during this time approximately every 20 to 30 minutes.

Frauds and Scams Workshop

Learn about frauds and scams, the tools that fraudsters use, common schemes targeting Canadian seniors, safety strategies, and resources to consult if someone you know has been scammed. Presented by Seniors First BC. Registration required.

Journey Through Time Workshop

Explore the history of East Richmond, including its formation and the stories behind local street names, all based on original records from the City of Richmond Archives. This session also features an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Archives. Presented by Friends of the Richmond Archives. Enjoy complimentary access to all Richmond Olympic Oval facilities for one special day.
