Richmond’s Election taking place on October 15

The City of Richmond’s General Local and School Election will be held on Saturday, October 15 to elect one Mayor, eight Councillors and seven School Board Trustees.
All eligible Richmond voters are encouraged to register to vote through Elections BC and can find out if they are already on the voters list using the “Am I on the Voters List?” search on the City’s website.
Eligible voters will be able to vote in-person at their designated voting place on General Voting Day (October 15) or at any of the advance voting locations which will be offered over five days (October 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8). Voters can cast only one ballot.
A number of accessible voting opportunities will be available during this election, including curb-side voting, mail ballots and an accessible ballot-marking device at City Hall during advance voting. Further information on where, when and how to vote is available on the City’s website.
The City of Richmond is committed to delivering a safe Election. For the Richmond 2022 Election, the safety of voters, candidates, candidate representatives and election staff will continue to be paramount. A detailed Election Communicable Disease Plan will be put in place in order to ensure a safe election.
