Annual & Monthly Parking Permit Programs

The City of Richmond offers a mix of short and long-term parking options, including metered parking and permits for On Street and Off Street parking. Commercial Truck Parking Pilot Program - NEW

The Commercial Truck Parking Pilot Program is a one-year initiative that provides designated on-street parking for eligible commercial trucks in select industrial areas of Richmond. Commercial vehicle registration is restricted to Richmond-based owners or operators.

Approximately 65 on-street commercial truck parking spaces are available in the Fraserwood, Ironwood, Mitchell Island and Vulcan Way industrial areas shown in the Commercial Truck Parking Pilot Map. These spaces are available for overnight commercial truck parking from 7:00pm to 7:00am, as indicated by posted signage.

To avoid ticketing, operators must register their truck licence plate with the City before using the commercial truck parking spaces. To learn more about the program and to register, complete the online application.

On Street & Off Street Parking Permits

You can purchase a permit for as many months as you wish within a calendar year. The following Parking Permit Map shows the on-street and off-street parking areas that are available for monthly permit parking. As part of its move away from paper, the City has discontinued physical permits and implemented Licence Plate Recognition. Once registered, your licence plate number will be recognized by City Enforcement Officers as valid for parking at various stalls throughout Richmond.

Off-street parking permits exist for three parking lots in Richmond, including Brighouse Park, Gateway Theatre and Lawn Bowling Green Community Activity Centre. For more information on types of pay parking, you can email ParkingPermit@richmond.ca or call 604-276-4345.

Note: Parking spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
