Rental Information


City Hall is a unique building in downtown Richmond often used for meetings, workshops, training and private events. Rental space at City Hall may be booked for a day, evening or weekend.

Commercial activities, registered political parties, or public rallies are not permitted at City Hall.

Booking a Room

Secure a room booking by sending a completed rental application form to Customer Service at cityhallroombookings@richmond.ca. Once a completed application form is received, staff will check availability and event suitability and contact you to finalize the booking.

All bookings are subject to availability. Please note: rooms are generally not available on Mondays and Tuesdays due to Council Committee and Council meetings.

Single Room Rates - Seating capacity of 20-24 people

Special Events

Events are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to minimize the impact to City operations. If you would like to host an event at City Hall, please complete a rental application form and send it to cityhallroombookings@richmond.ca.

Parking Information

Richmond City Hall offers on site complimentary visitor parking for 2 hours, 8:15am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. If your event will exceed the maximum two hours parking, alternate parking is available.

Catering Information

Truffles Fine Foods Inc. is the exclusive caterer, with first right of refusal, for events and meetings held at City Hall. Cancellation Policy

Notice of cancellation must be in writing and the following charges will apply:

  • 30 days or more prior to the booking: 25% of total charge
  • Less than 30 days prior to the booking: 50% of total charge
  • Less than 48 hours prior to the meeting: 100% of total charge
