Richmond showcases 2021 Capital Projects Highlights online

29 April 2021

New transportation initiatives, critical upgrades and building improvements are just a few of the interesting City of Richmond capital projects people can explore without leaving the comfort of their home.

Richmond’s virtual 2021 Capital Projects Highlights allows residents to view the many on-going and upcoming capital projects from any digital device.

The public is invited to visit Let's Talk Richmond to explore some of the major projects that will advance the Council Strategic Plan including sustainability and safety while building a stronger, more resilient community.

Last year, the Capital Projects Highlights replaced the well-attended, in-person Capital Projects Open House at City Hall expanding access to thousands more visitors. This year’s online highlights are once again sharing information through – LetsTalkRichmond.ca and the City’s geographic information system (GIS).

Visitors can interact with Richmond’s Capital Project Maps by searching through clickable links to specific projects. Simply click on the projects of interest and a concise summary appears with photos and/or video.

Projects are categorized into five sections: Transportation, Parks, Engineering and Public Works, Buildings and Public Art (associated with Capital Projects). Visitors can find key information and ask questions online until Sunday May 30, 2021, or contact the project lead directly to find out more about specific highlights or the City’s Capital Project Strategy.
