Richmond seeking input to update Cycling Network Plan

02 June 2021

The City of Richmond is updating its Cycling Network Plan and inviting the public to provide feedback on the existing cycling network, including possible gaps and where and why they choose to cycle in the city.

People are encouraged to visit LetsTalkRichmond.ca from June 1 to 30 to complete an online survey, add their thoughts to an ideas board, and use the mapping tool to identify where opportunities for improvement might exist.

The Cycling Network Plan provides a vision for the city’s future cycling network which will be expanded over time. The Plan is being updated to guide and prioritize investment in new cycling facilities and safety improvements throughout Richmond. The project will ensure the vision for cycling throughout Richmond reflects the aspirations of residents and reaffirms the priorities for investment in new and upgraded facilities in the years ahead.

This is Phase 1 of engagement and the results will help develop a preliminary updated cycling network, which will then be the focus of a Phase 2 engagement process later this year.
