08 March 2021

Watermania and the fitness centres at Cambie and Hamilton Community Centres will re-open for registered visits from Monday, March 15, offering expanded fitness and aquatics opportunities for the public to stay active and connected.

Watermania, located in the Riverport Sports and Entertainment Complex at 14300 Entertainment Boulevard, will open daily for fitness, public swim sessions and lessons. Registered visits for the fitness centre, public swim sessions and length swims will be offered seven days a week.

The fitness centres at Cambie and Hamilton Community Centres will also open their doors again for registered fitness visits Monday through Saturday, starting Monday, March 15.

In keeping with health protocols, pre-registration is mandatory and increased safety measures and physical distancing will be in place. As of today (March 8), people can register for a fitness class, swim session or lesson several ways:

Online registration is available for Recreation Access Card (RAC) holders with the purchase of a 10-Visit RAC Card or by calling the Registration Call Centre. Recreation Fee Subsidy (RFSP) users can also register online at www.richmond.ca/register with “subsidy” available as a payment method at checkout.

All facilities and programs meet strict health and safety guidelines as set out by local and provincial health authorities, and activities may be increased or decreased based on demand and public safety. Masks must be worn in all indoor City-operated facilities.
