2021 Writer-in-Residence program closes with public presentation on December 1

The 10th Writer-in-Residence program wraps up with a public presentation from this year’s author, Sonya Lalli along with special guests on Wednesday, December 1 in the Richmond Cultural Centre Performance Hall (7700 Minoru Gate).

This in-person, free program takes place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and is chance to connect with Sonya and other literary artists. To reserve a spot, email culture@richmond.ca. As seating is limited, advance registration is required to attend in person.

Since this year’s Writer-in-Residence program launched in late September, local emerging writers have had the opportunity to participate in the three-part Breaking Down Barriers workshop series, a public reading and Q&A session and there is still time to register for the upcoming Writers’ Circle on Saturday, November 27.

The 2021 Writer-in-Residence program is produced by a partnership of the City of Richmond’s Arts Services, Minoru Seniors Society and Richmond Public Library Brighouse Branch.

The program will adhere to all City of Richmond COVID-19 safety protocols including mandatory masks. Proof of vaccination is required. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.
