Archibald Blair Elementary School
Archibald Blair Elementary School (1997- ) was built to serve the many new homes and apartments constructed north of Granville between Railway and No. 1 Road in the last years of the twentieth century.
The Blair family arrived from Ireland in the late 1800s. They bought farmland south of Steveston Highway near No. 3 Road. Archibald Blair (1896-1993) served with the Canadian Armed Forces overseas in World War I and fought at the historic battle at Vimy Ridge.
