Steveston Lanes Permit Parking Pilot Program
In response to requests for parking within Steveston’s lanes, the City has reviewed locations where parking can be safely implemented. Bylaw amendments to permit parking within lanes were endorsed on September 9, 2024 and formalized parking stalls will be established, as shown on the Steveston Lanes Permit Parking Zones Map.
Parking stalls will be available to Steveston business owners and employees through a one-year permit parking pilot program. Business owners and employees working within the Village can apply to the City for a parking permit at a monthly rate. Permit holders will have access to full-day parking within marked lane parking stalls on a first come, first served basis.

The cost per parking permit is $54 per calendar month for 2024.
Will I be guaranteed a parking spot if I apply for a parking permit?
In order to make permits available to everyone who wishes to apply, the pilot program will not limit the number of permit applications processed. Permit holders will not be guaranteed a stall if the permits issued exceed the number of stalls available. If you would like to know the number of permits issued before submitting an application, the City can provide you with this information.
Can I share permits amongst various employees?
No. Registration will be through individual vehicle licence plates and no physical passes will be required, so the permits cannot be transferred.

After completing and submitting the online application, please call 604-276-4345 from Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays) between the hours of 8:15am to 5:00pm to process the payment.
