The City of Richmond is again recognizing Positive Aging Week and National Seniors Day with over 10 free or low cost programs and events that celebrate the contribution of seniors to the community and promote healthy aging.
Positive Aging Week, unique to the City of Richmond, takes place from Sunday, October 1 to Saturday, October 7, 2023, in recognition of National Seniors Day in Canada and the United Nations International Day of Older Persons, which are marked annually on October 1. Celebrations to commemorate these occasions in 2023 include a pickleball tournament, National Seniors Day social, and the City’s annual Positive Aging Campaign that highlights five local seniors who embody the power of positive aging.
