The City of Richmond is undertaking work to review and update the Richmond Arts Strategy for the next five years, and community members are invited to contribute their ideas and feedback. As the strategy is nearing its expiration date, everyone is encouraged to join the conversation.

There are several ways to contribute:

  • Visit the sounding board during the Culture Days kick-off weekend Saturday and Sunday, September 21 and 22, 2024 at the Richmond Cultural Centre (7700 Minoru Gate)
  • Complete an online questionnaire at LetsTalkRichmond.ca by Sunday, October 13, 2024
  • Complete and submit a printed questionnaire, available at the Richmond Cultural Centre, by Sunday, October 13, 2024
  • Email feedback to culture@richmond.ca

Originally developed through extensive community input and supported by the contributions of a diverse 25-member Task Group, ArtWorks: Richmond Arts Strategy 2019–2024 was officially endorsed by City Council on July 8, 2019. The document is organized under a unifying vision, that “Richmond’s thriving arts scene animates our city every day; offers rich arts education and experiences, festivals and events; fosters social connections and wellness; builds arts and culture leadership; and provides creative spaces.”
