The City of Richmond is reminding residents and non-profit organizations that the application deadline for the 2025 annual City Grant Programs is drawing near. Applications for grants will close at 5:00pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

The grants fall under five categories – Arts and Culture; Child Care; Health, Social and Safety; Parks, Recreation and Community Events; and Environmental Enhancement.

In past years, grant funding has supported numerous local activities and programs throughout the City. Examples include the Canada Chinese Performing Arts Society’s presentation of Han Music and the cultural celebration of the full moon; updated furnishings and equipment at the Connections Community Services Society Kids Club; interactive and educational activities on historic farm life at London Heritage Farm; the distribution of food to people in need provided by the Immigrant Link Centre Society; and the Richmond Garden Club’s project to enhance habitat for wildlife and pollinators in Paulik Park.
