Are you a Richmond-based non-profit organization, faith-based group, Parent Advisory Committee, Community Association or Student Council planning a free, public event that fosters community? If so, apply for a Richmond Community Celebration Grant by Sunday, February 9, 2025. Examples of events that may be eligible for funding include cultural celebrations, community concerts and movies in the park and other outdoor community events.

This Grant Program offers funding of up to $2,000 to support initiatives that foster collaboration among Richmond residents and community groups, and strengthen community pride and belonging.

Local artists and other community members are encouraged to connect with local, not-for-profit organizations to create and submit an application that capitalizes on the power and potential of the arts to support community-building and promote social connections.

To be eligible, events must:

• Take place in Richmond between June 1 and December 31, 2025
• Demonstrate alignment with program objectives including creating events that build community in Richmond
• Be inclusive, accessible and demonstrate engagement of community members from diverse backgrounds
• Be free and open to the public

In addition, applicants must show evidence of capacity to host the event and show a realistic estimate of resources needed and total budget required.
