Over 60 free or low cost family-friendly activities will be available throughout Richmond over the upcoming Family Day weekend – Friday, February 17 through Monday, February 20.
Family Day is a great opportunity for families to get active, create and connect while enjoying time together. From registered visits for open gyms, fitness centre drop-ins and the Richmond Children’s Arts Festival to swimming, skating and more - there’s something for everyone. Highlights include:
- Britannia Shipyards - explore Steveston with the Big Red Scavenger Hunt
 - Drop-in family and hockey skating at Minoru Arenas
 - A Hawaiian dance workshop and other programs for those 55+ years
 - Hands-on eco arts activities at the Richmond Nature House
 - Yoga and fitness classes at Thompson Community Centre
 - An intergenerational magic workshop at Minoru Centre for Active Living
 - Unique and captivating exhibitions at the Richmond Art Gallery and Richmond Museum
 - Drop-in family activities at South Arm and Hamilton community centre
 - Pancake breakfasts at Cambie and Steveston community centres
 - Special family movie events with “Incredibles 2” on the big screen at City Centre Community Centre, and “Minions: The Rise of Gru" at Watermania
