The City of Richmond is developing a Lansdowne Parks and Open Space Master Plan to guide the detailed design and implementation of the future parks and open space, to be located at the Lansdowne Centre shopping mall property.
The community is invited to provide input until Sunday, April 13, on concept master plan options, programming priorities and general park character that will contribute to the development of the master plan.
There are several opportunities for the public to participate, both in-person and online.
In-person:
- Attend one of three drop-in style open houses offering fun information sharing activities for all ages, display boards and engaging Parks staff, who will be available for discussions and to answer questions.
- Located at Lansdowne Centre shopping mall, Centre Court (by the food court) at 5300 No. 3 Road:
Thursday, March 13 from 4:00 to 7:00pm
Saturday, March 15 from 11:00am to 2:00pm - Located at the Richmond Cultural Centre at 7700 Minoru Gate:
Saturday, March 22 from 11:00am to 2:00pm
Online:
- Visit LetsTalkRichmond.ca/LansdowneParks to learn more and complete an online survey, available in multiple languages.
- The survey will be open until 11:59pm on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Feedback gathered from the community during the public engagement process will help shape the development of a Lansdowne Parks and Open Space Master Plan, which will be presented to Council for consideration. Upon receipt of Council support, the plan will guide the future detailed design and implementation of these exciting public park spaces.
The future parks and open space at Lansdowne will be created over several years, as the Lansdowne Centre property is redeveloped in phases to form a vibrant mixed-use community with homes, shopping, commercial space, amenities and parks.
