Do you know someone or an organization that has made a significant impact in preserving or sharing the community’s heritage? The Richmond Heritage Commission is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Richmond Heritage Awards, with a deadline of Sunday, May 18, 2025.
Richmond’s historic buildings, cultural landscapes, and local stories all contribute to the community’s identity, and many people play a personal role in preserving and sharing the stories of Richmond’s heritage places and rich history.
The Richmond Heritage Awards provide a way to recognize people and organizations for their dedication.
Some of the ways an individual or organization may earn recognition is for their role in:
- conserving a historic building or cultural landscape
- promoting heritage awareness through education, outreach or advocacy
- contributing to local heritage knowledge through public history or interpretation projects
Anyone can submit a nomination. Simply complete a one-page nomination form outlining the nominee’s contribution.
The nomination form is available online at richmond.ca/HeritageAwards. Printed copies are available by emailing Policy Planning Department at communityplanning@richmond.ca.
